- Equitable Ecohealth Clinics: Community health centers offer specialized services like surgeries, vaccinations, screenings, and wellness programs.
- Primary Care: These facilities, equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment, provide preventive care, chronic disease management, and health education programs.
- Mobile Health Clinics: Provide important health services to those with restricted access to healthcare institutions. We were hoping to partner with Tzu Chi Medical services as they have a mobile vision clinic that operates in the Vegas valley. We were also hoping to partner with Touro University’s Mobile Healthcare Clinic as they provide “free acute care for our underserved populations.”
- Preventive Care: Emphasis on screenings for diabetes, hypertension, cancer, and other conditions prevalent in certain minority populations, educating on healthier alternatives. We would like to partner with public health centers in the area such as Nevada Health Centers that might be willing to do health fairs or reduced cost preventative services.
- Language Access: Create a department for translations to improve communication and service for different cultural groups. This will help non-English speaking patients understand and follow medical advice, leading to better health outcomes.
Quality indicators
Patient Satisfaction:
- Surveys are conducted to assess patient satisfaction with services provided, overall experience, including wait times, and staff professionalism.
Care Groups:
- Support groups for patients with chronic illnesses, mental health concerns, and caregivers focusing on peer support and experience sharing.
Patient Education Programs:
- Offer information and programs for disease management, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Access to Care:
- Using the guidelines set forth by Anthem, we plan to investigate the time required for new patients to schedule an appointment and the availability of after-hours services and measure how effectively we are meeting these standards.
Insurance Coverage:
- We will examine the rates of insurance coverage throughout the population and we will use tools like the Medicare and Medicaid data sets for Nevada and Clark County to measure our goals.
